Steaming up the place
The Subject of Much Controversy
With Valentine's Day coming up, we did a themed issue of DT Weekend. This was the cover. It certainly got people talking. John Kelso of the Statesman wrote his column about it today. I haven't talked to anyone yet who was outright offended by it, soooo... I'll mark this one down as a success I suppose?
Here's last week's cover.
DTW FTW.

Back again
Howdy folks. I had an interesting break, as always. I'll be picking up a new 24" iMac soon, meaning I'll be able to process and post a whole lot more stuff.

Almost done...
Taking a little time out to enjoy some fresh air and my new infrared filter with friends Shae and Ross...
I have no idea who sprinkled fairy dust on this photo, but I like the twinklies anyways...
Last class day was Friday, bringing to a close another semester. I really hope the next one is less catastrophic.
Here's a frame from an end-of-semester Daily Texan party that bizarrely had almost no one from DT that I knew.

fire
A fire started at approximately 6 p.m. Friday in my room and took a lot with it. I haven't spoken with the fire department yet as to the cause, but it looked like an electrical fire, as it started from the socket where I had all my various chargers and computer gear plugged in.
I'm living from moment to moment right now.
I'll be documenting this whole ordeal so that perhaps I can gain some perspective on it. Well, that's not entirely true. The perspective would only be a side-effect. Taking pictures is just the only thing I know how to do.

Negligence
I really need to post more. I saw jgomez last night, whose work I really admire, and he entreated me to post more. So, images!
Let's get this cute cat out of the way first. Good Sport.
So many photographers... such close proximity.
Joey's going nuts for video... but a Leica fits the hand best.
Poor damn Bryant, he's got a gnarly bone infection right now, but somehow he manages still to be the funniest, most conversational dude ever.
And Ranjana is simply stunning, as always.

Hands of Red
Life only gets weirder with every week. In this episode, we'll travel to Flatbed Press, an Eastside art gallery, to view the opening of "Future Prologues...," an exhibit in near pitch darkness.
On to Emo's to shoot a band with the worst lighting designer in the history of rock and roll (wonder why you're not seeing any band photos?)
